Dump Truck Tracker is designed to help dump truck operators and fleet managers track jobs, vehicles, and routes. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information We Collect

Location Data

• GPS coordinates for job tracking and route monitoring
• Geofence data for automatic load/dump site detection
• Trip routes and distance calculations

App Usage Data

• Job completion records
• Vehicle and material information
• Customer data (names and job site locations)

Analytics Data

We use PostHog to collect anonymised usage data to help us understand how the app is used and improve it over time. This includes:

• In-app events such as job starts, job completions, and load/dump recordings
• Onboarding and subscription interactions
• App lifecycle events (foreground/background)

How We Use Your Information

Core Functionality

• Track job progress and completion
• Automatically detect arrival and departure at job sites
• Calculate distances, loads, and trip durations
• Generate job reports and summaries

App Improvement

• Understand how features are used to guide development priorities
• Identify and resolve usability issues

Data Storage

Your job, vehicle, customer, and location data is stored locally on your device and syncs across your devices via Apple's CloudKit. This data does not leave Apple's infrastructure.

Anonymised analytics data is transmitted to PostHog and stored on PostHog's servers in the United States.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Your personal and operational data is never shared with third parties.

Anonymised analytics data is processed by PostHog, Inc. solely for the purpose of improving the app. PostHog does not receive GPS coordinates, names, or any personally identifiable information. For more information, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Data syncing for your operational data occurs only through Apple's secure CloudKit service and remains tied to your personal iCloud account.

Your Rights

• Data Ownership: All your operational data belongs to you
• Data Control: Managed through your iCloud account settings
• Data Deletion: Delete the app to remove local data; manage iCloud data through Apple's settings
